“When the Lord brought back the captive ones of Zion, we were like those who dream. Then our mouth was filled with laughter, and our tongue with joyful shouting….The Lord has done great things for us; we are glad” (Psalm 126:1-3).
At some point in your life, you’ve probably been at this spot. You dreamed and wished for years, and then it finally happened. You found yourself at the place where dreams come true. The place where you knew that the only way this good thing could’ve happened was by the grace of God.
Do you still dream today?
Do you imagine the great things God has planned for you? Do you have the peace that His grace will cover any mistake you make? Do you see a glorious future? Do you have confidence that you will laugh, experience joy, and be glad? If not today, someday soon, because your God is full of grace.
It wasn’t hard to dream as a child, and it’s not as hard as we adults make it. Fretting about our circumstances or uncertain futures or difficult people can make us forget what God can do in a hurry. But when we leave behind the captivity of our distractions and cares and, instead, remember the goodness of our God, then we are free to dream.
